Good morning, it's a little chilly here in Austin.
Today's post is about how you can save water.
Texas had a drought this summer and we had a lot of fires. There was a fire in my neighborhood greenbelt too, though luckily we did not have to evacuate. Me and a friend of mine walked the trails to the scene of the fire. It was in a large fieled like area ( but there was no grass, just dirt ) and we saw the charred stumps of the trees. There were large piles of shredded tree from the trees that burned.
Water is now very importent here and thats why I made this post.
Here's some tips on how to save water.
Keep a pitcher ( like the kind to hold lemonade ) at your kitchen sink. Then at the end of the day, pour the remaining water from cups around the house, into the pitcher. Then, when it is full use it to water a plant.
You can use the same pitcher for when you want hot water.
just put it under the faucet while your waiting for the water to turn hot.
You can do the same thing with a bucket for when your waiting for the shower water to change.
Hope the help you!
